AVK series 41 swing check valves are used in pumping systems to prevent fluid from flowing back in the wrong direction. These valves can be used for both drinking water and waste water applications. The valve has a disc that moves back and forth to open and close, and is connected to a shaft with a flexible bushing. This allows the disc and valve seat to adjust precisely. The valve is made of high-quality stainless steel and coated with a drinking water approved epoxy or EPDM. This ensures that the valve is safe to use in drinking water applications. The series 41 valves come in two versions: one with a closed bushing and another with a protruding shaft end. The protruding shaft version can be fitted with a lever, weight, or spring to help reduce pressure surges. In simpler terms, the AVK series 41 swing check valves are used in pumps to make sure the fluid flows in the right direction. They are made of high-quality materials that are safe to use with drinking water, and come in different versions to suit different needs.

 

AVK Valve Swing Check Valve Product Advantages :-

 

• Low Head Loss : The full bore minimizes pressure loss and allows maximum utilization of the pump capacity. The disc is designed with a steel insert fully vulcanized with EPDM rubber. It provides a drop tight closure and due to the light weight it requires a minimum of force to open/close.
• Easy Maintanence and Long Life : The low weight offers easy handling. Disassembly of the valve can be performed without removing the valve from the pipe system by unscrewing the bonnet bolts and removing the bonnet assembly including hinge and disc. In case of damage the necessary spare parts can be changed before reassembly.

• Resilient seat provides a drop tight closure and due to the light weight it requires a minimum of force to open/close
• Shaft fitted in the bonnet allowing for easy maintenance without removing valve from pipeline
• Shaft material 1.4021 AISI (320) stainless steel
• Free protruding shaft end for mounting of lever and weight or spring to assist valve closing and avoid water hammer
• Hinge of stainless steel for sizes ≤ DN 200; ductile iron coated with drinking water approved epoxy for larger
• Bonnet gasket in a groove between bonnet and body to prevent blow-out
• All seals and coatings with contact to the fluid are approved for drinking water – coating is blue, 250μm fusion bonded
• Disc is designed with a steel or ductile iron insert fully vulcanized with EPDM rubber
• Bosses on each side of the valve seat allow for installation of pressure gauge, by-pass, etc.

 

SAFETY NOTES :- The valves now accomodate lifting bars for the safe handling of valves. These lifting bars are rated to the weight of the bare valve and stem cap ( where lifted ) only and should not be utilised if the valve is fitted with pipe, mechanical pipe joints, gearboxes, actuators or any other external fitment. AVK Valves will not accept any responsibility for loss or damages if the lifting bars are not used in strict accordance with this guidance.
